People are still talking about the food. Park Avenue captures wine country cuisine. Their superlative staff pulled off a three course dinner for 150 people without a hitch. They also catered our rehearsal and day-after brunch, and hit a home run every time. Pricing was very reasonable, and they very accommodating.

I'll be honest -- I didn't want cake. Until we visited Patisserie Angelica. The cozy and personal feel won me over, and they have the rare mix of beautiful AND delicious cakes (you know, that don't taste like hairspray). They gave us four flavors and an incredible dessert bar. Our guests loved every bite!

Bianca is a champ! She runs her own shop and gives so much personal attention. Plus she's as creative as they come and extremely reasonable. I'd love to keep her a secret but she's just too good! She created the perfect theme for our invites that carried through the paper for the rest of the wedding.

I wanted to look like an enhanced version of myself on my wedding day -- Nicole delivered the polished, natural look I was going for. She knows exactly how to interpret what you're looking for, but also gives great (and honest) feedback. I've been seeing Nicole since I moved to L.A. six years ago, and my hair would be a wreck without her. She's currently with Nine Zero One in West Hollywood. She flew all the way up north just to do my hair and makeup. Enough said.

I adored this dress when I saw it, but was worried about the lack of mobility with the shoulder piece. The amazing staff at Bella Bianca in Oakbrook, IL (near my hometown) called Ines' daughter, who graciously offered to make me a removable shoulder piece to complement a strapless version of the dress. Best of both!

There's something so elegant about a cathedral-length veil. Bella Bianca even matched the lace trim to my dress. You just have to let it hang for a day or two before so it doesn't wrinkle.

I picked a handful of styles (from BHLDN, Jcrew, and Lela Rose) and let the girls choose their own (including dresses worn for another friend's wedding, just shortened). I think people appreciated being able to show a bit of personal style, while I could still control color palette and overall look.

Although everyone ended up looking great, I have to say our experience was a bit of a nightmare. A number of our groomsmen were given a hard time over tailoring and pricing, and we ended up having to beg Nordstrom to fix the alterations on Tim's suit a week prior (which they graciously did!).
